Cross Country:
Cross Country will be starting up on Tuesday, August 6, 2019.  Practice will begin at 4pm.  Please meet in the front of the gym if you are interested in going out for the team.  
Competitive Cheerleading:
Competitive Cheerleading clinic will be held on Tuesday, 8/6/19, 6pm at the field.  Tryouts will be held on Wed. 8/7/19, 5:30pm at the field.  Previous cheer, gymnastics or dance experience is required.  A current DOE physical and Assumption of Risk form must be completed in order to tryout.  Forms can be found in Forms and Document section.
Girls Volleyball:
Tryouts for our 2019 Girls Volleyball team will begin on July 29, from 5pm - 7pm at the Gym.  There will be some conditioning outside of the gym during tryouts.
Voluntary off season bowling practice is being held on Monday's at Leeward bowl at 6pm.  See coach Herbie on Monday's at Leeward bowl for more information.
Girls Volleyball:
Voluntary off season workouts are being held on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 4:45pm - 7pm.  
Congratulations to Kolbe Irei and to Jae Eun Park for winning medals at the HHSAA State Golf Championships held at the Waikoloa Kings Course.  Kolbe placed second while Jae Eun placed eleventh.  
Water Polo and Softball:
Congratulations to our Girls Water Polo and Girls Softball teams for having an outstanding season.  Both teams finished in 5th place in their HHSAA State tournaments.  Our Water Polo team finished 3rd in the regular season and 3rd in the OIA.  Our Softball team finished 1st in the Eastern Division and 5th in the OIA.
Track and Field:
Congratulations to our 4x400 relay team ( Devin Li, Lowen Fernandez, Brett Furukawa, Kirk Calinao ) for placing 3rd in the HHSAA State Track meet.  Also qualifying for the the finals in their events were:  Lowen Fernandez, 6th, 400 meter.  Angelina Gonzalez, 7th 400 meter.  D'elle Martin, 8th, 1500 meter, 9th, 3000 meter.  Charley Lau, 18th, High Jump.  Ty Shishido, 7th High Jump.  William Liang and Noah Okami, tied 14th, Pole Vault.  Stephanie Matsuda and Taylor Umetsu, tied 10th, Pole Vault. 
Boys Basketball:
There will be short meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 3pm at the gym for anyone interested in participating in Boys basketball for the upcoming 2019-2020 season.
Judo / Track:
Today is the start of the HHSAA track meet being held on Maui.  Trials will be held today with the Finals being held on Saturday.  On Saturday, the HHSAA Judo tournament will be held at the Stan Sheriff Arena. 
HHSAA Tournaments:
Our Softball and Water Polo teams lost to Punahou yesterday but will be playing in the consolation brackets.  Softball will be playing Lahainaluna at 4pm at McKinley and our Water Polo team will be playing Kahuku at 4:30pm at Kamehameha Kapalama pool.  
HHSAA Tournaments:
Today our Girls Water Polo team competes in the quarterfinals against top seeded Punahou.  Game time is slated for 6:30pm at the Kamehameha Kapalama pool.
Also today, our Girls Softball team is also competing in the quarterfinals against Punahou.  Game time is 5pm, at the Rainbow Wahine Softball stadium.  
Congratulations to Kolbe Irei for placing 5th in the OIA Championships.  Also, placing were, Yoon Ho Park, 9th and Tredor Ikeda, 8th.  Tredor also recorded a hole in one on the 15th hole at the Turtle Bay Fazio Course.  In the girls division, Jae Eun Park finished in 3rd place.  All of these golfers will be participating in the HHSAA Championships at the Waikoloa Kings Course this week.  
Congratulations to Carlos Argones for winning the Eastern Division Singles Championship.  He also placed third in the OIA Singles Championships.  Also, congratulations to Lexi Mitsunaga for placing 7th in the Singles Eastern Division Championships.  Also placing were Kenta Sakamoto, 7th and Krista Shoda and Man Ian Woo placed 8th in the Doubles division.  
There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, April 25, 5:30pm in the Senior Patio for anyone interested in going out for our cheerleading team next year.  
Boys Volleyball:
Our boys volleyball team will open the OIA playoffs against Kapolei at Kapolei on Wednesday, 4/17.  Our game will follow the first game between Castle and Radford.  
Our girls softball team won the Eastern Division with a 12 - 0 record.  They will start their OIA playoffs on Thursday, 4/18, 3pm at Stevenson.  They have a first round bye and will be playing the winner of the Kailua / Waianae game.

Boys Volleyball:
Anuenue has forfeited tonight's volleyball game.  Next game will be on Wednesday against Kaimuki.
Congratulations to Angelyn Baron for placing 2nd in her weight division at the OIA Championships.  Also placing were Jaylina Tran - 7th, Hannah Li - 8th, Maka Peralta - 8th.  In the boys division Max High placed 6th.
Congratulations to Lauren Croll for placing 8th in her event at the recently completed HHSAA State Swimming Championships.  At the end of our OIA season our boys team finished 5th in the OIA and our girls finished 6th in the OIA.  
Congratulations to our Girls Varsity paddling team for winning the OIA Championship.  Also, congratulations to our boys varsity team for placing 3rd in the OIA.
Physicals / Concussion / Assumption of Risk Forms:
Our Spring season is fast approaching.  Just a reminder that in order to participate in athletics, a Physical/Concussion/Assumption of Risk form must be turned into our trainers.  Forms can be downloaded in the Forms and Document section.  After completing the forms, the forms needs to be turned into our trainers and they will give each student a Blue slip confirming that the forms are complete.  Students will then need to take their Blue slip to their respective coach on the first day of tryouts.  
There will be an informational meeting for anyone wanting to participate in Judo.  The meeting will be held on Friday, 1/18, 3pm in the Senior Patio.
Boys and Girls Varsity Tennis:
Workouts for our boys and girls tennis team will be starting on Monday, 1/28, 3:30pm at the Stevenson Tennis Courts.
Water Polo:
Sign ups for our Girls Water Polo team is now being taken Mondays - Thursdays, 3:30pm at the pool.
Boys Volleyball:
Workouts for our boys volleyball team will begin on Tuesday, 1/29 and Thursday, 1/31, 4:30pm - 6:30pm at the gym.  
Golf Meeting:
´╗┐There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in going out for our Golf Team.  The meeting will be held on Friday, 1/25, 2:30pm in the PE classroom at the field.  
Varsity Softball:
Tryouts for our Varsity Softball team will begin on Monday, 1/28, 3pm at Stevenson softball field.  Please remember that a current Physical and Assumption of Risk form is required prior to participating.

Todays soccer practice (Tuesday 10/30) has been cancelled due to the weather.
Congratulations to our Football team for winning the DII OIA Championship.  RHS defeated Kaimuki 28 - 18 to win our first OIA championship.
Tryouts for our Boys and Girls swimming team will begin on Nov. 5, 3:30pm at our pool.
Tonight Roosevelt will be playing Kaimuki for the OIA DII Championship.  Game time is 5pm at Aloha Stadium.

Tryouts for our JV / Var boys soccer team will start on Monday, Nov. 5,  3:30 - 6pm at the field.
Girls Soccer:
Tryouts for girls JV and Varsity soccer team will begin on Monday, 10/29 from 4-6pm at the field.
Girls Basketball:
Tryouts for our Varsity / JV Giris basketball team will begin on Monday, Oct. 29. from 4 - 6pm in the Gym.

JV Girls Tennis:
Tryouts for our Girls JV tennis team will start on Monday, Oct. 29, 3:30pm at the Stevenson Tennis courts.
Boys Basketball:
Tryouts for our Basketball team will start on Monday, Nov. 12.  JV tryouts will be from 5:30pm - 8pm.  Varsity tryouts will be from 6:30pm - 9pm.

Air Riflery:
Today's Air Riflery match has been postponed to Thursday, 9/13.
JV Softball:
Today's JV softball game has been postponed.  Game will be played on Monday, 9/17, 3pm at Stevenson Field.
Volunteer / Community Service:
If any RHS student would like to do some volunteer work, the Stevenson Recreation Center is looking for Junior Mentors and Tutors.  Stop by the Athletic Directors office for more information.
