  • 2019 eSports State Champs: The Rough Riders defeated Iolani to capture the championship title.
 
  • US News and World Report #1 High School in Hawaii- 2019 and 2017
 
  •  CHESS CLUB

Our Roosevelt Chess Club won 2nd place at the Presidents' Day Chess Tournament. They were tied with Mid-Pacific School and Punahou School in the last round, but were able to defeat them to win the Silver Award!  Go Rough Riders!


  • CIVIL ENGINEERING CLUB

Congratulations to Roosevelt's Civil Engineering Club! They are the Overall Winner in the National parking lot design competition, sponsored by ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers). They also placed first in subcategories Best Drafting/Plan Presentation and Best Presentation. The competition was open to all high schools (public and private) across the nation. Great job Riders! National Overall Winners!!

  • CSI 

The Roosevelt High School team took 1st place at the Hawaii Pacific University - CSI: Cold Case. They were the only team who solved the crime and identified the correct killer! They utilized the principles of forensics, entomology and testimony!

  • CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT'S 2017 CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION

Roosevelt student won Hawaii's First Congressional District's 2017 Congressional Art Competition.  Her artwork will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol (with the other winning artwork from participating districts from around the country) for one year. She also wins a trip to Washington D.C. and will take part in a ceremony and a tour of the Nation's Capitol. Go Rough Riders!


  • HAWAII STATE SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR 

Held April 10-12, 2017, Hawaii Convention Center

Congratulations to our three Seniors for participating in this year's Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair and for representing Roosevelt High School and making us proud!  Go Rough Riders!

Awards include 

   - Best of Energy: Physical Category 2nd Place Winner

   - $200 from Society of American Military Engineers

   - Overall Hawaii State Science 3rd Place Winner, Top Public School Winner

   - Best of Biochemistry Category 1st Place Winner

   - $1,800 from American Chemical Society, The Queen's Health System, McInerny Foundation, and Honolulu Star Advertiser

   - Perpetual trophy returns to Roosevelt High School for our senior placing as the top public high school winner in the state.  

   - Trip to compete in ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair) in Los Angeles in May 2017


  • HAWAII STATE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

Congratulation to our Hawaii State Science Olympiads!  Roosevelt's team placed 4th overall in the UH-Manoa Regional Tournament and will be 1 of 16 teams (public and private schools) to compete in the State Finals this coming Saturday at Mililani High. Go Rough Riders!

  • HONOLULU DISTRICT SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR (HONSEF) 

HONSEF was held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Kapiolani Community College.

Congratulations to all three of Roosevelt's Student Scientists who made it to States!!

  • HOSA TEAM

Roosevelt's HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) Team did great at this year's state competition! They earned 3 medals:  GOLD in Law and Ethics, GOLD in Behavioral Health, and BRONZE in Medical Reading. Go Rough Riders!

  • ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL: #1 HIGH SCHOOL IN THE STATE

Roosevelt High School  is the highest achieving high school in the State!

The latest statewide assessment results were recently released. Roosevelt High School was ranked as the highest achieving high school in Hawaii for the rigorous Smarter Balance Assessments. Congratulations to the Class of 2017 for their awesome achievements!  Go Rough Riders!


  • PUMPKIN CARVING AWARD

Best Carving Technique Award

Congratulations to this year's Pumpkin Carving Team, advised by Ms. Kumashiro! They won the Best Carving Technique Award at the Pumpkin Carving Festival at Windward Mall on Oct. 22, 2016. The theme was "Island Heroes, Never Forgotten" and our students incorporated Roosevelt High School's history and role during WWII into part of their display. Great job!!!
