Chapter 19 Class A Offense: Firearm- Gel Bead Toy Guns

Recently, we recovered gel beads around campus that are projected from toy guns. The toy guns use a mechanism which creates pressure to fire gel balls. Those types of toy guns are considered a firearm under Chapter 19. A popular toy gun which uses gel balls is Orbeez.

If a student is dismissed from school, that student shall be provided alternate educational activities or other appropriate assistance as provided in section 8-19-11.
