10/5/21: Fall Break 2021 Letter

October 5, 2021

Dear Parent and Guardians,

The purpose of this letter is to provide you with information about travel, onsite COVID testing and a few important dates in October.

Some of our students may be traveling over the Fall Break. To help keep our campus safe, we want to remind you that students are subject to the out-of-state and inter-island Safe Travels program requirements in order to return to school following any travel. Here’s a link to provide you with more information about Safe Travels Hawaii:

Student travelers must follow all applicable state and county rules at the time of the trip, including compliance with any required quarantine periods. There are three (3) options for students returning from out-of-state travel:

  1. Be fully vaccinated prior to the start of out-of-state travel and provide proof of vaccination to the school;
  2. Obtain a COVID-19 test after return and submit a negative test result to the school; or
  3. Quarantine for 10 days after return.

Please submit any documentation for 1 or 2 (above) to our Attendance Office via email:

We have hosted 2 onsite COVID testing events in our Senior Patio. We will resume testing on Monday, October 18th from 2:50pm to 3:30pm. If you are interested in the free test, please register using the following link: RHS Onsite COVID Testing Registration Once you register, you will be eligible to receive free weekly testing until the program comes to an end.

This Friday marks the end of the first quarter. Here are a few other important dates coming up:

October 11 - 15: Fall Break- No School for Students

October 18: Free Onsite COVID Testing Resumes; 2:50pm to 3:30pm at Senior Patio

We kindly ask for your continued cooperation in following the Core Essential Strategies to reduce the spread of COVID 19:1) Get Vaccinated, 2) Stay Home When Sick, 3) Mask Wearing, and 4) Practice Good Hygiene. Please stay healthy and safe.
