Aloha parents and guardians,
During the 2019-20 school year, the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (HIDOE) and the Hawaiʻi Department of Human Services (DHS) provided temporary food purchasing assistance to families with children who are eligible for free or reduced-price school meals due to the impact of school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic.
During school closures in March, April and May, eligible families were provided Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) School Meal Replacement Benefits of up to $360 per child.
Pending approval of P-EBT program benefits for school year 2020-21 (along with any other federal programs that may be applicable in the future), we strongly encourage all families that are eligible but have not yet applied for free and reduced-price school meals to apply by September 21, 2020. An online application can be accessed at EZMealApp.com.
Families who already qualified for free and reduced-price school meals for this school year should also immediately notify our school if there have been any changes to your primary address. To update your address, please complete the following Demographic Information Update Request form. If you have any questions, please contact our main office at (808)307-0500.
