Aloha Roosevelt High parents and guardians,
Our administration was made aware yesterday of a confirmed COVID-19 case involving one of our employees. You might hear reports on the news about this case. Our school took the recommended precautions to ensure the safety of our faculty and staff, including notifying them immediately and having any impacted areas professionally cleaned and sanitized for reopening.
Out of an abundance of caution, all students will be starting with full distance learning next week Monday, August 17 instead of the previously announced date of Monday, August 24. Our revised schedule is attached.
To prepare for full distance learning, our teachers have been calling/emailing parents regarding the status of each child's access to technology. If you have not spoken to your child's advisory teacher this week, please make an attempt to contact your child's advisory teacher or call our school. We want to make sure that your child has access to the appropriate technology in order to support their learning.
Please know that the health and safety of all students, faculty, and staff remain a priority for us. Our faculty and staff continue to carefully follow safety protocols and take the proper precautions such as wearing masks, socially distancing, and washing our hands to ensure that campus remains safe. I know that you will do the same for our school community when you come to campus.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact our administration at (808) 307-0500.
