RHS Library Collection

The RHS Library's print collection includes a wide range of Fiction, Non-fiction and Hawaiian Studies materials that students, faculty and staff can reference or borrow. From leisure to school-assigned reading, research and development, or inquiry into subjects unknown, our materials are ready to meet whatever needs you might have!

Borrowing:

RHS Library patrons can check out print materials at the Circulation Desk. Patrons may borrow up to 10 books for three weeks at a time, though we caution patrons to borrow only what they can manage to keep track of. Fines for lost or damaged books will be assessed as school financial obligations, which can affect a student's eligibility to participate in extra-curricular events or graduation.

 

For RHS Library print and digital materials collection:

 

Click on the BROWSE Library Catalog link above.

Log in to your account:

1. Click on the "Login" button in the upper right corner.

2. Enter your 10-digit school ID or 8-digit HIDOE ID (the same one you use for Infinite Campus).

3. Enter your password. (Students: Two digits for your birth month, two digits for your birth day; eg. 1004 will be entered for someone born on October 4. Faculty: Last four digits of your HIDOE ID.)

 

Now, enter your search term(s) in the Search bar. A list of book titles that match your search terms will appear. You can then select a title by clicking on the highlighted text, view a summary, and check on the book's status. You may place a hold on this or other item(s), check what books you have out, and what books are still on your record.

 

4. To borrow an eBook or eAudiobook, click on the highlighted text to view the summary. Then select Click here to access, under Electronic Resources. You will then be redirected to Sora.

For free e-Books and Audiobooks found at soraapp.com

 

Click on the Browse Soraapp eBooks Catalog link above.

1. In Sora, enter the setup code HIDOE.

2. Your username is either your 10-digit student ID number, or 8-digit HIDOE ID.

3. Click on the 3 lines in the upper right corner, then in Profile, select Hawaii State Department Of Education.

4. Or, select Add a public library, and type Hawaii State Public Library System .

5. You can type in a title or author's name in the Search box at the top, or browse the collection by clicking on Explore.

6. To borrow available e-books or audiobooks, use your 10-digit student ID number, or 8-digit HIDOE ID.

Borrowed items are on a 3-week loan, and will automatically be returned when they are due. You may also place an item on Hold, and request Notification in Settings. There is a highlighting feature in each e-book.
